A native Chicagoan,
John knew at a young age he wanted to become an artist. This lead him to study at the American Academy of Art in Chicago Ill., where John showed his ability to translate his life experiences into his artwork. With thirty years of a direct painting approach from sketching both on location and in the studio, has lead him to refine his first love, watercolors. John captures the essence of place and subject matter in his works. As an extension of his watercolor painting and desire to create on a grand scale, John uses translucent acrylics to render murals.
This has brought him recognition in many private and corporate collections.
As a professional artist, John teaches continuing education classes in watercolors, mural painting, and portrait painting at
Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois.
